PROPOSED <br />REVISION - <br />ADDITIONAL <br />N~9 <br />CRITERIA <br /> <br />1 to6 <br /> <br />Alternative Housing Types - <br />Municipalities are ranked according to the <br />percentage of their total new housing unit or <br />occupancy permits issued in the previous <br />calendar year for dwelling units other than <br />traditional, detached single-family homes, <br />such as all forms of attached housing, mobile <br />homes or zero-lot line units. The <br />municipality must have permitted at' least five <br />new units or a number which represents .5 <br />percent of its housing stock, whichever is <br />greater. <br /> <br />EXPLANATION <br />FOR THE <br />ADDITION <br /> <br />This new c~iteria responds to the diversification of <br />housing stock which municipalities a~e bein9 asked to <br />consider in the housing seat/on of the~ local compre- <br />hensive plans through the use of official controls. <br />Alternative housing typ~s are desirable as a mea~ to <br />increase housing opporluniti~s for all ages, family <br />types and income leue~. <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br /> <br />
