, & -11- <br /> <br /> Specifically, the gas collection system is and will be operated <br />continuously. A back-up motor/blower unit has been ordered and will be <br />installed. Test probes on the west side of the landfill will be monitored <br />on a regular basis by Waste Management and Anoka County (once per week). <br />The operation of the motor/bloat unit will be visually checked daily. The <br />system will be evaluated to determine whether or not the operating time <br />can be adjusted. Long-range plans include evaluating the extension of the <br />control system along the no~th side of the landfill. An additional safe- <br />~ard could be provided by installing a detector/alarm system on the land- <br />fill property to detect any migrating gases that might be missed on a once <br />per week check, and Waste Management is oonsidering this proposal. <br /> <br /> <br />
