City of Ramsey · 15153 NOWTHEN BOULEVARD N.W., RAMSEY, MINNESOTA 55303 · (612) 427-1410 October 3, 1980 Mr. Paul Rudd County Engineer Anoka County Court House Anoka, Minnesota 55303 Dear Mr. Rudd: I'm writing to you in regards to the following two cases here in the City of Ramsey: 1) The City of Ramsey is receiving complaints about the intersection at Highway #10 and Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. in regards to the business establishment that is selling fire- wood there. Citizens are complaining the inadequate egress and ingress to business and that it is too close to the Sunfish Lake Blvd. and Highway #10 intersection. Secondly, it is felt that the stacking of wood.on their property line (or Highway #10 ~oad'right=of-way) creates:anothe~'serious highway safety factor. Consequently, the City of Ramsey would like :fo~_your office to check into this and report back to us as soon as possible. If you feel there is a problem'we want.to know what corrective action will be taken and when it will be taken. We will also be sending a letter to the State of Minnesota Highway Department on this issue. 2) The City of Ramsey would like to find out what plans the -County and State of Minnesota has in signalizing our major thoroughfare entrances onto Highway #10. We recently had another serious accident at the intersection of Highway #10 and Ramsey Blvd. N.W. (County Road #56) which involved a young girl in her late teens. According to the Ramsey Police Department she was everely injured in this accident. The Ramsey Police Department has informed us that something has to be done to protect lives of citizens traveling Highway #10 or those who-have to, negotiate an egress or ingress from our major thoroughfares that intersect with Highway #10.
