TO: City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Building Official <br /> <br />RE: 1979 U.B.C. - 1980 State Building Code ~ <br /> <br />DATE: October 9, 1980 <br /> <br />On October 8, 1980, we received notification of the adoption of the 1980 <br />State Building Code. Therefore, to maintain enforcement of the current <br />code it is necessary for us to amend our.ordinance'to adopt the 1980 Stat~ <br />Building Code which is 2MCAR 1.1GLO1 through 2MCARl.18901 - State Building <br />Code. In addition to this it is necessary for us to adopt by reference <br />the 1979 edition of the Uniform Building Code as amended by Building Code <br />Letter No. 63 dated September 1980 (See attached) with appendix chapters <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1) Chapter 11 - Agricultural Buildings <br />2) Chapter 32 - Re-Roofing <br />3) Chapter 60 - Uni£orm Building Code Standards <br /> <br />This will be an amendment to Ordinance 150.02 Building Code. <br /> <br />It should be ~oted that the fee for permits under.'the 1979 U.B.C. are <br />approximately 50% higher than the fees established in the 1976 U.B.C. <br /> · :' C ,,d~-~, .? <br /> <br />dRB: sb/ <br /> <br /> <br />
