I. Opening Statement <br /> <br />This project memorandum has been prepared and submitted in accordance with the <br />approved highway project development process. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has been awarded $200,000 from the Fiscal Year 04 Federal <br />Appropriations to complete preliminary design and conceptual layouts for interchange <br />improvements along Trunk Highway 10 (TH10)in Ramsey. <br /> <br />II. Highway Section Description <br /> <br />Termini: <br /> <br />Trunk Highway 10 from TH47 in Anoka to TH169 in Elk River. <br /> <br />Length: Trunk Highway 10 segment length totals 10.1 miles between TH47 in <br />Anoka and TH169/101 in Elk River. <br /> <br />Functional class: <br /> <br />· TH10: principal arterial <br />· Sunfish Lake Boulevard (CR57): Major collector <br />· Ramsey Boulevard (CR56): B Minor arterial <br />· Armstrong Boulevard (CSAH83): Major collector <br /> <br />Typical section: <br /> <br />Trunk Highway 10 is a rural design four-lane highway with 12 foot travel lanes, 8 foot <br />inside lanes and 10 foot outside shoulder lanes. Median widths vary depending on <br />location and increases as the highway moves west toward Elk River. <br /> <br />Existing right-of-way width: <br /> <br />Trunk Highway 10 is a four-lane divided highway. The right-of-way width ranges from <br />160 feet total width beginning at the east boundary at Ramsey - Anoka city limits. <br />Toward the west, northwest, the right-of-way width averages 225 feet total between <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard and Armstrong Boulevard.
