Councitmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved ibr its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-09~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FROM MICHAEL METTLER TO <br />EXCEED THE MAXIMUM SQUARE FOOTAGE ALLOWED FOR ACCESSORY <br />STRUCTURES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Merrier, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", has properly <br />applied for a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the maximum amount of square feet for accessory <br />buildings on properties between t and 1.99 acres as established in section 9.11.02 (Accessory <br />Uses) of City Code on the property generally known as 15315 Sunfish Lake Bird NW and legaliy <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />The south i94.5 feet of that part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter <br />of Section o~ - <br /> ~,_~, To~vnship ~2, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota lying easterty of <br />the centerline of County State Aid Highway Number 57. Excluding road and subject <br />to easements of record. <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />1L4~MSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared beibre the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on September 2, 2004, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />2. That.the Subject Property is zoned. R-i Residential and is located inside the Metropolitan <br /> Urban Service Area (MUSA). <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is adjacent to properties zoned R-1 Residential (within the 'MUSA) <br />on the north and south, R-1 Rural Developing to the west (across Sunfish Lake Blvd), and R- <br />z" Medium Density to the east. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is approximately 1.73 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is eligible J:br a total of 1,664 square feet of accessory building <br /> space. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has an existing one-stall attached garzige that is 308 square feet in size and <br />a detached garage that is 660 square feet in size: the existing square fbotage of accessory <br />buildings on the Subject Property is 968. <br /> <br />-272- <br /> <br /> <br />
