Mayor introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #04-09-XXX RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #4-21, CONSTRUCTION OF MUNICIPAL WELL #6 WHEREAS, on August 10, 2004, City Council adopted Resolution #04-08-XXX approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advei'tisement for bids for the Improvement Project #04-21, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the nine lowest quotes that were received: Bidder E.H. Rem~er & Sons Mark J. Traut Wells, Inc. Amount ofBid $318,322.00 $339,925.00 Engineers Estimate: $400,000 AND WHEREAS, it appears that E.H. Re~mer & Sons is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF tLAMSEY, ANOtC4 COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with E.H. Renner & Sons in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement Project #04-21 in the amount of $318,322.00. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Counciknember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the fbllowing abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13I' day of September, 2004. -358-
