Mayor introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #04-09-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING cONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #4-31, CONSTRUCTION OF WATER.lAIN <br />ASSOCIATED WITH MUNICIPAL WELL #6 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 10, 2004, City Council adopted Resolution #04-08-XXX <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #04-31, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the nine lowest quotes that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />W.B. Miller, 12~c <br />Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. <br /> <br />Engineers Estinmte: <br /> <br />Amount ofBid <br />$85,942.5O <br />$101,285.00 <br /> <br />$185,000 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that W.B. Miller, Inc is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />R.4~MSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with W.B. Miller, Inc in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Improvement Project #04-31 in the amount of $85,942.50. <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the ~bllowing were absent: <br /> <br />-366- <br /> <br /> <br />
