Mr. Elvig stated that Anoka cannot go out and take in just <br />certain areas. If the people living i~ certain parts cometo the City <br />of Anoka requesting annexation the City of Anoka would honor the request. <br />If there was no objection from anyone in the township they would honor <br />the petition. Brow Township went to the County Commissiom and objected <br />to a petition for Annexation and now they are awaiting the ruling o£ the <br />Municipal Commission. 95 out of ll3 homes in the afore mentioned action <br />requested annexation. It was the Noon Schuyler Addition. Only land <br />owners can petition for annexation., <br /> <br /> There are 319 acres of land owned by several people in Ramsey who <br />want an industrial park and who want to be annexed to Anoka~ Within the <br />next few days this petition will be filed. Mr. Elvig said the profit from running the <br /> electric company was quite substantial and helps to bring down the mill <br /> rate. Expansion comes out of the revenue of the electric utility. <br /> <br />No.. 3 "What will 'the city do about our so called "private public" roads <br />which the 'township hasn't taken over?" <br /> <br />Mr. Gotham answered that at the present time it amounted to about $5.00 <br />for snow removal and about $5.00 for road grading. <br /> <br />No. 4 "When will the outer areas of the township receive ~ad maintainance <br />such as snow removal, grading, etc?" <br /> <br />Answer: At present time they are graded and gravelled to specifications. <br /> <br /> <br />
