Public Hearing <br /> <br />Vern Olson, 13183 Eberdeen Street, Blaine, stated if you look at the businesses on each side of <br />him they are about ten feet from the property line, and he just wants his area to look the same. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon noted they have had some issues along <br />this corridor with display areas, and the Class V material will help define it better. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Van Scoy asked what type of tractors would be sold. <br /> <br />Mr. Olson advised they are smaller sized, imported from Korea and China; a little bigger than a <br />lawn tractor. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Johnson, seconded by Board Member Jeffrey to close the public <br />hearing at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, Jeffrey, Brauer, <br />Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />Commission Input <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Johnson, seconded by Board Member Brauer to adopt Resolution #04- <br />07-170 adopting Findings of Facts #0681 favorable to the applicant relating to a request for a <br />variance from landscape requirements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, Brauer, Jeffrey, <br />Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Johnson, seconded by Board Member Brauer to approve the request <br />for a variance to landscape requirements for the property located at 7039 Highway 10 and adopt <br />Resolution #04-07-171 declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, Brauer, Jeffrey, <br />Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: ChairpersonNixt. <br /> <br />Board Member Brauer commented on the Staff report indication that Mach 5/Blatz Auto does not <br />comply.
