ANNUAL MEETING OF RAMSAY TOWNSHIP <br /> March 10, 1970 <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:30 p.m. Motion was <br />made nominating ~r. Lapham for moderator of the meeting. Motion <br />was seconded. He was voted in by acclamation. Mr. Lapham stated <br />that only registered voters will be able to vote on anything that <br />is brought before the chair tonight. Everyone was cautioned to <br />use proper language and that personalities should be left out of <br />the meeting. <br /> <br /> The chairman requested that the minutes of the last anuual <br />meeting be read by the Clark, Mr. Etienne. Mrs. Etienne made a <br />correction saying that the fire contract should have been $4T0.00 <br />instead of $400.00. Mr. Hoffman moved that the minutes as read <br />and with the correction be accepted. Motion seconded by ~r. <br />Russell. Motion passed. <br /> <br /> The Chairman requested the treasurer's report be read. Mm. <br />Etienne read the treasurerts report. Mr. Barstow moved that the <br />treasurerts report be accepted as read. Motion was seconded by <br />Mr. Perry. Motion passed. <br /> <br /> The Chairman stated the first subject to be brought up for <br />discussion was the salary of the supervisors. The Town Board <br />suggested $16.00 per day and 10~ per mile. At present they are <br />being paid ~8.00 per day and 10~ per mile. Mr. Gary Gotham moved <br />that we pay each supervisor $12.00 per day and 10~ per mile. <br />~econded by Mr. James Brazil. Motion passed. <br /> <br /> Next subject for discussion: Should the Town Board continue <br />to pay Mrs. Etienne $150.00 as secretary for the Town. ~rs. <br />Etienne explained her duties in this ~osition. Mr. Russell moved <br />that the Town continue to pay Mrs. Etienne $150.00 in her position <br />as secretary to the Town. Seconded by Mr. Hoffman. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Board of Audit Report: <br /> <br />A. Improvement of existing town roads. <br /> <br />Roads should be brought up to specifications before <br />building permit may be issued. <br /> <br />C. Addition to the town hall about 20x24 feet. <br /> <br />Publication of minutes of the Town Board meetings and <br />legal ad~ in the newspapers. <br /> <br /> At this point the results of the balloting for supervisor <br />and clerk were announced. <br /> <br /> <br />
