<br />Case #3: Repol.t from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />2) Consider Ending Probationary Period for Permit Technician <br /> <br />3) Consider Ending Probationary Period for Building Inspector <br /> <br />4) Authorize Staff to Create an Eligibility List to Hire a Patrol Officer <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed reported Case No.2 and Case No.3 were recommended for <br />approval by the Personnel Committee. Case NO.4 was recommended to be tabled. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook explained regarding Case No.4, it was felt that they should see what the <br />preliminary budget would be for 2005 before they continue to look at bringing officers on in <br />2004. By running this case to the next month's meeting they will be able to get a preliminary <br />budget. Case No.2 and Case NO.3 are related to personnel coming off of a probationary period, <br />and their supervisors are happy with them. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Personnel Committee in Case No.2 to adopt Resolution #04-08-214 <br />ending the probationary period for Katy Okerstrom and granting her status as the full-time, <br />regular Pennit Technician, to ratify the recommendation of the Personnel COlmnittee in Case No. <br />3 to adopt Resolution #04-08-215 ending the probationary period for Andy Schreder and <br />granting him status as the full-time, regular Building Inspector, and to ratify the recommendation <br />of the Personnel Committee in Case No.4 to table the recruitment process for a patrol officer. <br /> <br />Motion canied. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Kurak, Strommen, <br />and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Pearson. <br /> <br />Case #2: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) Quarterly Review of Franchise Fee Collections <br /> <br />Moved up in the agenda to follow Case No. 3/1. <br /> <br />2) Amendment of the 2004 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig rep0l1ed this case is an amendment to the schedule of rates and fees and <br />charges for 2004. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund advised at the July 27, 2004 City Council meeting, Council authorized the <br />approval of the Comprehensive Sewer and Water Plans. Included in these plans was a <br />recommended fee schedule for sewer and water trunk charges. The changes include an increase <br />in the Residential Water Trunk Charges from $1,327 to $2,325, and an increase in the Residential <br />Sewer Trunk Charges from $596 to $1,800.
