Absent: Councilmember Pearson. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Lions Application for a One-Day 3.2 Beer License <br /> <br />Police Chief Way reported the Ramsey Lions have applied for a one-day, 3.2 beer license, for a <br />one-day event - Happy Days. As has been done in the past, staff is requesting Council waive the <br />$50 license fee. The Lions Club is a non-profit and generously gives to the community. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, second by Counci1member Elvig, to approve the application <br />for the Ramsey Lions Club for a one-day 3.2 beer license for Happy Days, the City of Ramsey <br />community celebration to be held on Saturday, September 18,2004 at the City Hall campus, and <br />to waive the $50 temporary 3.2 beer license fee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Elvig, Cook, Strommen, <br />and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. Absent: Counci1member Pearson. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Consider Approval of Lighting FLxture for Ramsey Town Center <br /> <br />City Administrator Nonnan reviewed at the Council worksession plior to this meeting, the <br />Council directed staff to work with Bruce Jacobson of Close Landscape to draft language for the <br />approval of the lighting fixture for Ramsey Town Center. He advised staff recommends the <br />following motion by the Council: "The new streetscape design indicates lighting fixtures that <br />will be 72 feet apart (opposite - both sides) on Sunwood Drive, 100 - 125 feet apart (opposite - <br />both sides) on Rhinestone and Zeolite Streets, and 150 feet apart (altemating - both sides) on <br />parkways and residential streets; 14 foot poles with 12 inch mounting ann along street frontage, <br />24 foot poles with 24 inch mounting ann at major intersections; fixture is Guardco Model <br />GSO 1 A with brushed al uminum finish." <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, that the new <br />streetscape design indicates lighting fixtures that will be 72 feet apmi (opposite - both sides) on <br />Sunwood Drive, 100 - 125 feet apm1 (opposite - both sides) on Rhinestone and Zeolite Streets, <br />and 150 feet apart (alternating - both sides) on parkways and residential streets; 14 foot poles <br />with 12 inch mounting ann along street frontage, 24 foot poles with 24 inch mounting arm at <br />major intersections; fixture is Gum-dco lvlodel GSOIA with brushed aluminum finish." <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cook commented the proposed dimensions are not the <br />dimensions discussed dUling the worksession. The consensus of the Council was to approve the <br />proposed dimensions, and to bling them back before the Council for an amendment if there are <br />any questions. <br /> <br />Motion canied.
