Population Forecast' <br />RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY <br />2010 <br />23,668 <br />2040 34,700 <br />330,844 <br />438,820 <br />According to the Metropolitan Council Regional Forecast to 2040, the metro regional <br />area is anticipated to grow by 22% between 2010 and 2040. By 2040, seniors are <br />expected to comprise 20% of the population and people of color will comprise 40%. <br />As the population increases, diversifies, and ages, demand for easily accessible <br />outdoor recreation opportunities and open space increases. <br />The outdoor recreational use patterns in the metropolitan area have also been <br />growing steadily.
