Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />Meeting Date: 05/25/2017 <br />By: Katie Schmidt, Administrative Services <br />Title: <br />Business of the Year <br />4. 3. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to select the 2017 Business Ramsey of the Year, an annual selection made by the EDA. <br />The Ramsey Business of the Year is selected from a list of 3-6 candidates (known as the "small list"). The purpose <br />of the small list is to narrow down the voting/ analysis process to a small pool of candidates. Said candidates are <br />asked to answer a set of questions. The small list makes for a more efficient and effective process for the EDA. <br />The small list of candidates is derived from a "large list." The large list was updated by the EDA in 2016.
