Letter dated February 7, 2002: Re: Kurak Sunwood Drive Property from Alena Hunter <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Chairperson Nixt to recommend approval of the <br />following proposed amendments and issues relating to the Comprehensive Plan: <br /> <br />Rum River Golf Course <br />Lutz Acres <br />Niles Property (Northeast comer of Alpine and Hwy 47) <br />Niles Property (Edina Development - NW comer of Alpine and Hwy 47) <br />South of Highway 10 (Anoka/Ramsey Border) <br />Sunflower Ridge (Oakwood Land Development <br />Darkenwald Project <br />Peltzer Addition <br />Tom Thumb (Ramsey Blvd.) <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Brauer, Kociscak, <br />Reeve, Sweet, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Extension of 167th Avenue Project: Chairperson Nixt asked if there is any geographical <br />information for that location. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson stated he was in favor of removing it from the transportation map. He <br />recommended developing a new east/west road in that area. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that there are not many good east/west collector streets between <br />Ramsey Boulevard and Variolite. Many travelers have to go all the way around. This future <br />road has been on the maps for many, many years. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson to remove the graphics from <br />the Comprehensive Plan showing the extension of 167th Avenue to Armstrong Boulevard. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Brauer, Reeve, Sweet, <br />and Watson. Voting No: Commissioner Kociscak. None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Bright Keys/MUSA Expansion in Pineview Estates 2nd Addition: Principal Planner Tmdgeon <br />explained that the request is to expand MUSA to include Lots 11 and 12 of the Pineview Estates <br />2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Jeffrey Menth, 14726 Ramsey Boulevard NW, stated he wants to see the neighborhood stay as <br />single family residential.
