I <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson to change the Menth and <br />Onstad properties to medium density residential, and include the Sharp and Nelson properties in <br />the MUSA contingent upon sewer and water being available. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Brauer, Reeve, Sweet, <br />and Watson. Voting No: None. Abstain: Commissioner Kociscak. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon said that most of the neighbors in Regency Pond property to the west <br />go to low density residential. The owner of two lots south of Outlot A would like to keep the <br />property as Places to Work. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Chairperson Nixt to leave the designation Places <br />to Work for property west of Regency Pond. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Brauer, Kociscak, <br />Reeve, Sweet, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon said the Kurak Property I is shown as low density on the new plan <br />and the request is to change it to mixed use. <br /> <br />Tom Kurak, 15001 Sunfish Lake Blvd. stated that this piece should be rezoned to compliment <br />the new Town Center plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson to reclassify the Kurak <br />Property I to Mixed Use. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, Reeve, <br />Sweet, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Commissioner Watson stated his property abuts the Kurak Property II Sunwood Drive property <br />and he will be abstaining from discussion. <br /> <br />Lance Ragor, 6194 146th Avenue, asked if he would leave 146t~ as is. <br /> <br />Mr. Kurak said that street could be cul-de-saced or it could dead end. <br /> <br />Steve Durkey, 14560 Sunfish Lake NW, stated that when they moved here in 1997, he did check <br />on how the areas were zoned. He said he wasn't as concerned about the trees as he was about the <br />maintenance issues in 20 years. He posed the question of why change it until it is clear what will <br />be done with the land. <br /> <br />Resident, 14700 Potassium, stated that without a plan when the change is made, it will be a huge <br />disaster.
