Case #1: Mr. Marc Hadle~y Regarding Summer Youth Program For 1982: <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley stated that Fred Moore Jr. High School will be serving as a <br />youth enrichment center this summer. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley also stated that in order to cut costs, the pee wee and ponie <br />baseball program has been cut from Ramsey's summer youth program because <br />of their expense and pee wee and ponie baseball is covered by RYAA. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley stated some other cuts in the summer program and informed Council <br />that the 1982 budget is $700 below that of 1981. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley also informed Council that there is $1200 left over from 1981 <br />and wanted to know how the City wants to handle this. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec requested that the $1200 be returned to the City and if the <br />community program runs short in 1982 there will be a reserve to draw from <br />or the $1200 could be used to improve some of the parks in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Case #2: Sunday On-Sale Liquor Opening Hour Change; Request For: <br /> <br />Mark Glessner, Manager of Jimmy B's American Cafe and Lounge was present <br />at the meeting to represent James Brown, owner of Jimmy B'~s. He stated <br />that in order to keep up with the competition in surrounding cities, a <br />10:00 A.M. opening on Sunday's is a necessity. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />approve of adopting Ordinance #82-9 which will amend Section 130.0514, <br />Paragraph 2 of the City of Ramsey's Intoxicating Liquor Code to change the <br />Sunday on-sale liquor hours.from 12:00 noon through 12:00 midnight to <br />10:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight. Further that this Ordinance be published in <br />the official newspaper, ~he Anoka County Union. (Please refer to ordinance <br />file for Ordinance #82-9). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg and <br />Reimann. Voting No: Councilmember Van Wagner. Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:16 P.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular Council Meeting back to order at 9:40 P.M. <br /> <br />Case #3- Metes And Bounds Subdivision Of Land After The Fact In An <br /> <br />Unrecorded Plat; Case Of Westphal Construction: <br /> <br />Mrs. Smith was present at the meeting to represent Mrs. Westphal. Mrs. <br />Smith presented to Council a metes and bounds subdivision survey performed <br />in November of 1972. <br /> <br />Council consensus is to allow a metes and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg suggested that instead of going through the process <br />of reassessing, that Westphal Construction be allowed the subdivision by <br />metes and bounds on the condition that they pay a park fee on the 11 lots <br />and also pay the professional costs. <br /> <br />C/April 27, 1982 <br /> Page 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
