I I Case #3: Ramsey Community Profile: City Administrator Schnelle gave a brief explanation of the Ramsey Community Profile. Mr. Luchine had given this to Ramsey to fill out when he was here previously. In regards to the list of major industrial employers in the area, Commissioner Sentryz felt that all businesses in Ramsey should be listed. I I Commissioner Fults expressed the same point of view. Either list all businesses or none. The question was raised as to whether only Ramsey businesses are supposed to be listed, or if the word "area" suggests that we list nearby businesses in other communities, such as Anoka. Chairman Greenberg referred to the section on truck lines and would like the truck lines serving Ramsey mentioned even t~ough there are no terminals in the City. He also thought that it would be a good idea to n~ntion Ramsey's soil conditions. Commissioner Muller recommended that the Economic Subcommittee, along with input from the rest of the Commission, work on this and bring the profile back to the next EDC meeting. There was a general concensus by the Commission to do so. It was directed that handwritten notes regarding suggestions for this profile be sent to City Administrator Schnelle. Case ~1: Subcommittee Reports I I I I Commissioner Muller gave a report on the status of the EDC Legislative Subcommittee. He outlined their objectives and goals for the coming year in regards to the 1983 Legislative Session. He also mentioned Anoka County's resolution to establish a meeting with Anoka County's legislative delegation to the State Capitol. Ramsey hasn't heard any more regarding this resolution. Commissioners Fults and Sentryz left the meeting at 8:55 a~m. Mayor Gamec referred to the Synopsis of the City of Ramsey that he had passed out earlier in the meeting. He told the Commission that he had a Slide presentation after the meeting if anyone wanted to stay and watch it. There was a brief dis- cussion regarding this synopsis. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Commissioner Menkveld and seconded by Commissioner Muller to adjourn the regular Economic Development Commission meeting. Motion carried. Voting yes: Commissioner Menkveld, Muller, Greenberg, Miller and Schmidt. Chairman Greenberg informed the Commission that the next regular meeting would be held on June 9, 1982.
