P~ Z-~- <br />9/~/78 <br /> <br />Ken Peterson asked if Mr. Langos planned on having a sign, and. he stated <br />~.bat he would like to have a small one. <br /> <br />Art Dunn questioned if there would be an increase in liquid w~ste and <br />Mr. Langos stated that there would be no more than the occasional <br />~','ater color that is now being disposed of. There was no comment from <br />the audience and the Public Hearing closed at 8:10. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson suggested that Mr. Langos read the sign ordinance before <br />placement of a sign. <br /> <br />Motion by Ron West, seconded by Gerry Zi~'..merman to recom~end to the <br />City Council to grant a conditional use permit to Louis Langos for <br />a commercial art studio at 16926 Bison Street N.W. with the stipulations <br />~,hat he adhere to the sign ordinance,,~ and that no printing be allowed <br />on the oremis. Motion carried ?-0. <br /> <br />Item 3. Case of Victor Mastley. <br />Mr. Mastley' was present to explain that he didn't understand why his <br />request for subdivision by metes and bounds had been denied by the <br />Council. Mr. Schnelle explained that the Council wanted the parcel <br />platted. M.r. Mastley stated that there is other property available, <br />and this parcel is not t'he choicest, and indicated that he %~.~ants more <br />information from the Council and Bertha Mae Smith before submitting <br />any additional plans. Mr. Mastley stated that he was extremely sur- <br />prised, at the Councils ~ecision since they had m~t the requirements. <br /> <br />Item 4. Public Hearing - Faith Baptist Church. <br />Ken Paterson began the Public Hearing by explaining the purpose and <br />asking a reoresentative of Faith Baptist to make a presentation of <br />their intentions. Mr. Ed I,ongfield sho¥.~ed a sketch plan for a new <br />church with ~20 seating capacity and off street parking for 72 vehicles. <br />There would be a 50' gap between the restored house and the new facility. <br />Ken Paterson asked about expected uses, and Mr. Longfield replied that <br />the new church would be used for sunday whorship, Wednesday night meetings, <br />Sunday school, and eventually a daycare center do~,.,'nstairs.
