Mr. Steffen will contact the City of Anoka and set up a meeting' on this landfill. Mr. Cox read a letter from a resident complain- ing about the smoke and stench from the landfill. Generhl Land Use Policy Matters: Anoka has two roads coming into the southeast.corner of Ramsey. We should get together with the City of Anoka and the County before these plans go any further. This would give us a seven corner area at. Highway #5 and. #~7. There are serious engineering problems to be considered. The highway aspect is the first thing that Should be determined. Discussion on Variolite St. which needs some road work and also discussion on the natural wild life areas along here. The Plan- ning and Zoning Commission is looking~for~some direction from the Council as to what their intent is in these matters. Mr. Reimann suggested we ask Mr. Tooker about updating our plan. Our basic grographical conflict with Andover is the. location of the road to cross the Rum River. Andover is now planHing on 10 acres per house instead of the 20 acres they were previously planning per house. We do not need a hearing on the Andover plan~ Mr. Cox feels we should make some comments to-.th.e Metro,Council as to what are our areas of concern regarding the Andover plan.. It was suggested we have our engineer work with~the_Planning & Zoning Commission to plan this area in question in the southeast corner of the City. There will be a combined meeting to plan._~this area by the Council,' the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Engineer at the City Hall on May 28, 1975. Mr. Gotham said the people living in the house on Collins Drive who have had the sewer problem with sewage running into the Miss- issippi River, are going to be moving very soon and he thinks we should do something about this situation now.
