COUNCIl, BUSINESS Case #1: Public Hearing on Hearing and Levy of Assessments for Past-Due Charges on Municipal Utility Bills and Current Services Rendered Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:14 p.m. in order to conduct a public hearing. Public Hearing Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:14 p.m. Presentation Finance Officer Lund explained this is the eighth year that the City of Ramsey will be certifying delinquent payments as assessments to be collected with property taxes payable in 2005. With the exception of two, all of the payments are related to utility bills; the majority of them are from property owners that have moved into a home with a previous bill that was unpaid. These property owners are responsible for these bills. Any payments received after September 28, 2004, and through November 5, 2004, will be indicated as "prepaid" when the list is transmitted to Anoka County for certification. Citizen Input There was Bone. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to close the public hearing. Motion can'ied. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Pearson, Elvig, Kurak, Strommen, and ZimmmTnan. Voting No: None. The public hearing was closed at 7:16 p.m. Council Business Mayor Gamcc called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:16 p.m. Councilmcmber Elvig asked when these bills were sent out.
