Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIl, BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing on Hearing and Levy of Assessments for Past-Due Charges <br />on Municipal Utility Bills and Current Services Rendered <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:14 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund explained this is the eighth year that the City of Ramsey will be certifying <br />delinquent payments as assessments to be collected with property taxes payable in 2005. With <br />the exception of two, all of the payments are related to utility bills; the majority of them are from <br />property owners that have moved into a home with a previous bill that was unpaid. These <br />property owners are responsible for these bills. Any payments received after September 28, <br />2004, and through November 5, 2004, will be indicated as "prepaid" when the list is transmitted <br />to Anoka County for certification. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was Bone. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion can'ied.
