Absent: Chairperson Nixt and Commissioner Van <br />Scoy. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Johnson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to <br />order at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Johnson thought the modification to the existing Conditional Use Penrdt was. <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jotmson, seconded by Cormnissioner Jeffrey, to recmmnend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to the request for an amended Conditional Use Pen.nit to <br />allow an accessory apartment in a single family structure in the R-1 Residential - Rural <br />Developing District. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer stated he really does not have a problem with this but it is a rather <br />significant change. He stated it was hard deciding on this issue. He noted he had a 10t of <br />problems amending this so it is not owner occupied. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Johnson stated he also was hesitant about this but has been reassured by the <br />public hearing that this property will be maintained. <br /> <br />Ms. Geisler stated if this was a single family house, the City could not put an owner occupancy <br />requirement on this. <br /> <br />Commissioner Watson wondered.what would happen if the property changed hands again.
