A review of the plan for park security. Staff to look into improving the quality of information that is shown on the cameras during Council meetings so viewers are better able to read the names of roads and determine areas that m-e being discussed. Councihnember Strommen stated there was a very high turnout at the rneeting. The biggest message for her was how the City gets information out to people earlier, and that it would be better served to hold City sponsored meetings earlier. It would also be beneficial to hold meetings in neighborhoods, which they may want to do more of in the summer. She questioned where they are in terms of the planning process for this development opportunity area, and suggested this issue be revisited. Councihnember Cook stated the 2-½ acre ordinance being discussed by the Planning Commission is a separate issue from this. He expressed concern that as a Council they voted to come out publicly with the infon-nation from this at a later stage because they were not far along in the planning. He did not hear anything about a meeting that would be going on, and then this meeting was held with only half of the City Council. He had received calls and informed residents there would be a public hearing. Councihnember Strommen stated if a resident calls and asks to meet with a Councilmember that should not be a problem. The residents wanted to ask questions, not specifically about the 2-½ acre ordinance, and directing them to a public hearing was not the answer. The residents had general questions about things like sewer and water, and transportation. Councihnember Cook stated his name was also on the letter that came out about the extension of sewer and water and the townhomes. When people called him he told them they are looking at a feasibility study, and residents can talk to City staff about that, or there would be a public hearing for them to come and express themselves. Mayor Gamec commented the Council has gone to wards and he feels it is up to the 'representatives to represent their ward. Councihnember Kurak stated there should be general communication between Councihnembers. The Council voted that they would not go out with information regarding this issue until they are prepared. She does not object to the meeting, but to not letting the rest of the Council know the meeting was taking place. She would request in the future the courtesy of informing the other Councihnembers. Councilmember Elvig stated he will not apologize for holding this meeting, as he feels it was appropriate. He got the residents together with the developer to hear information and have some questions answered.
