The public hearing closed at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 7:13 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt findings of fact relating to Cindi and Michael Heying's request for a conditional <br />use permit to exceed the accessory building size restriction. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Kociscak expressed concern about granting a variance for the <br />front yard setback and then another consideration for a size conditional use permit. Community <br />Development Director Frolik noted this action is consistent with action taken in the past and the <br />City's encouragement of indoor storage. Commissioner Johnson stated since it is consistent with <br />past action, he can support the application. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, and Reeve. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Brauer and Watson. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to recommend that City <br />Council approve Cindi and Michael Heying's request to exceed accessory building size <br />restrictions based on the findings of fact, and adopt a resolution declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, and Reeve. <br />Voting No: None. The subject <br />property is approximately 2.43 acres in size and is located outside the Metropolitan Urban <br /> <br />Planning Commission/October 3, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
