Business Communication Initiatives: Staff will be asking for input regarding the Ramsey
Business Connection QCTV program during an earlier case.

EDA Pr0,iects:

Douglas and Gary Hanson (Bakestar Property): The closing occurred on October 28, 2004 on
the Bakestar Property and the City is the fee owner. Gary Hanson will be leasing back the
property fbr a period of 3 months as directed by City Council. Staff is excited about the
continuing redevelopment efforts in this area of the City.

Miscellaneous:

Ramsey Public Works has requested the use of the Martin building to store equipment that is not
in use during the winter months. It has been made.clear that the equipment must be removed by
April 1, 2005 to assure that the building is demolished in a timely manner. This is important due
to the fact that the Andover Accounting firm needs to begin construction as soon as the frost is
out of the ground. Public works will be responsible for associated costs of utilization of the
building.

NAIOP: EDA Member Oromberg submitted a memo (attached to this case) to the EDA and
Staff regarding a survey that has been published by the National Association of Industrial and
Office Parks (NAIOP). The memo is attached to the Staff Update. Staff will verbally discuss the
survey and information obtained subsequent to the release of the survey.

Preview of December EDA Meeting:

The December EDA meeting will contain a full agenda:
Financial Tools - Economic Development consultant Mike Mulrooney will be at the
meeting to continue discussions related to the financial tools packet he discussed at a
prior EDA meeting. The discussion will include further review and opportunities to
promote the City's Revolving Loan Fund.

2005 Budget - Staff will be requesting input from EDA members regarding type of
information that will be needed and requested by Staff, in order to have a comprehensive
and effective discussion about the EDA's 2005 budget and 2004 budget year in review.

Ramsey Business Connection Newsletter - staff would like to discuss the effectiveness of
the newsletter and generate article ideas for 2005 publications.

20
