<br />well as parish offices. It is the City's understanding that the Applicant is actively looking for <br />property in Ramsey on which to construct a permanent facility. <br /> <br />The E-l Employment Zoning District does not expressly permit churches or other places of <br />worship. The E-l Employment Zoning District does allow for offices as a permitted use. The <br />Applicant has asked for at least a three-year Interim Use Permit to allow for the operation of a <br />church in the E-l Zoning District. City Code states that an Interim Use Permit can be granted up <br />to a maximum of five years. It is Staffs feeling that the Planning Commission should <br />recommend allowing for the Interim Use Permit to be granted for a total of five years. It is Staffs <br />belief that allowing for the Interim Use Permit to be in effect for the full five years will allow the <br />Applicant to have the needed flexibility in securing the property and constructing a permanent <br />facility. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Father Paul Jaroszeski, stated the address is actually 6390 McKinley. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shepherd, seconded by Commissioner Watson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Shepherd, Watson, <br />Brauer, and Jeffrey. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt and Commissioner Van Scoy. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Johnson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jeffrey, seconded by Commissioner Watson, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to the request for an Interim Use Permit. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Jeffrey, Watson, <br />Brauer, and Shepherd. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt and Commissioner Van <br />Scoy. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jeffrey, seconded by Commissioner Watson, to recommend that City <br />Council approve the request for an Interim Use Permit. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Jeffrey, Watson, <br />Brauer, and Shepherd. Voting No: None.
