If City offices are clos~ <br />to a weather emergency, the following shall <br />1. If the release of employees oc.¢ars befol~ the-start of & work shift, <br /> employees will not be paid for that shift exoept by ut~lizing <br /> accumulated conloarmatozy t/me, earned v~cation, or leavm without pay <br /> or by making up t~ t/me by balancing hours within %he current <br /> following pay period as authorized by the City Administrator. Making <br /> up th~ time on Saturdays is permissible when authorized by the <br /> depa~ u,~nt head. ~mployeas are expect~ to listen to WCC0-AM or' <br /> KAND-AM radio for anno~6~mm~ts of closings of City facilities and are <br /> not to repor~ to work if their work site is not open. ~m~Ioyees <br /> r=~orting to work when a public announcement has been issued that <br /> their work station is closed can mak~ up t/~ ~ the= ~ay only if <br /> approved by their department head. <br />2. If the release of employees occurs during a work shift, en~loyees on <br /> duty will be paid for their regular hours but must utilize <br /> oompensatory time, earned vacation, or leave without pay for the <br /> remainder of that work shift, or may make up the t/me by balancing <br /> those remaining hours within the current ancot follow/ng pay <br /> as authorized by the City Adm/nistrator. Making up time ~n Saturdays <br /> is permissible when authorized by your de~t head. <br />3. Those ~ployees ~quire~ to work ~uring severe weather ~ue to the <br /> nature of their job responsibilities, suah as the Public Works and <br /> Police Depaz~mants~ shall be paid. <br />4. Employees and citizens '~ay be aavisad not to leave the <br /> because of severe weather or other emer%~mcy oond/~ion~ <br /> after regular office hours. Simply rem~4n/ng on the premises after <br /> hours will not entitle employees to overtime <br /> <br />When City offices have not bee~ officially closed d~ri~g i~cl~t <br />weather, the following shall apply: <br />~. ~zployees who, because of inclement weather, report to work after the <br /> Start of their scheduled work shift may utilize <br /> cc~oensatory time, earned vacation or leave without pay or by mak/ng <br /> up the t/me by balancing hours within the c~Tre~t and/or following <br /> pay period lncluding Saturdays, as authorized by the City <br /> Administrator. This provision is subject tn the employee reaching <br /> agreement with ~ d~partman= head a~ to the ~ev~ri~y of ~h~ tnclmmen~ <br /> weather. <br />2. At the discretion a~d decision of the .depa~ U~= head, employees who <br /> desire to leave work early because of incl~u~nt weather may ~o so by <br /> utilizing accumulated cc~_nsatory t/me, ear, ed v_~_._~_~_tio~ or leave <br /> <br /> current and/or following pay period i~cludi~g Saturdays, as <br /> authorized by the City Administrator.
