could not be immediately facilitated. The Contractor shall provide necessary signs, flashers <br />and barricades for any parking or driving lane closures. All signing shall conform to the <br />most current version of the MNDOT Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. All plans <br />for lane closures shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval prior to any closures. <br />The cost of all work related to continuation and control of traffic, including maintenance of <br />traffic, provision of continued access and the placement, maintenance or removal of traffic <br />control devises should be included in the bid item unit price for Traffic Control. In the event <br />the Contractor fails to maintain the street or provide signing, the City may perform the work <br />and deduct the cost from any amount due the Contractor. <br />7. Cleanup and Restoration <br />When the work has been completed, the Contractor shall remove from the site all extra <br />materials, equipment, debris and other supplies. All surfaces disturbed during the <br />construction period shall be returned to their original condition or better. Contractor will be <br />expected to provide a water truck for dust control during sweeping operations. Water is <br />available at the automated water fill stations located at the Public Works Facility, 14100 <br />Jaspar St and at 16645 Quicksilver Street. Water will not be allowed to be drawn from City <br />hydrants. <br />If excessive amounts of sealcoat aggregate are still visible on the roadways and boulevard <br />areas following the initial two required sweepings, the Contractor will be required to perform <br />additional sweeping, as necessary, at no additional compensation. <br />8. Permits <br />Wherever the work shall enter into the right-of-way of any County Highway, the Contractor <br />shall obtain a permit from the Anoka County Highway Depaitinent. Contact the Anoka <br />County Highway Department at (763) 862-4200. Whenever work shall enter the right-of- <br />way of Highway 10 or Trunk Highway 47, the Contractor shall obtain a permit from <br />MnDOT. A City contractor's license is also required from the building department at (763) <br />433-9833. <br />9. Striping <br />The Contractor shall mark all existing striping with reflective markers prior to the work. <br />Following the work the Contactor shall restripe the pavement in conformance with the <br />original marking, unless directed otherwise by the Engineer. All paint shall be Epoxy <br />conforming to the latest MNDOT specifications. <br />SP 2 <br />
