The <br />Contractor shall guarantee that the installed liner is capable of sustaining outside loads, resist <br />chemical attack that normally occurs in sanitary and storm sewer systems, and will maintain <br />hydraulic characteristics over a fifty (50) year design life. <br />Unless provided otherwise in the plans or Special Provisions, the existing sewer pipe shall be <br />considered to be in a fully deteriorated condition, is not structurally sound, and cannot support <br />soil and live loads. The cured -in -place pipe shall be designed to support hydraulic, soil, and live <br />loads. <br />The sewer products are intended to have a fifty (50) year or greater design life, and in order to <br />minimize the Owner's risk, only proven products with substantial successful long term track <br />records will be approved. <br />B1 Manufactured Products and Installation <br />Contractors must meet all of the following criteria: <br />a. For a Product to be considered acceptable, a minimum of 100,000 linear feet or two <br />hundred fifty (250) manhole -to -manhole line sections of successful wastewater <br />collection system installations in the U.S. must be documented to the satisfaction of <br />the Engineer. In addition, at least 50,000 linear feet of the product shall have been in <br />successful service within the State for a minimum of five (5) years. <br />b. The Contractor's personnel must satisfy all insurance, financial, and bonding <br />requirements of the Owner, and must have had at least 5 (five) years active <br />experience in the commercial installation of the product bid. In addition, the <br />Contractor's personnel must have successfully installed at least 100,000 feet of the <br />same product bid. The Field Supervisor/Foreman shall have a minimum five (5) <br />years as a foreman/superintendent for a cured -in -place lining crew (installing actual <br />Page 58 <br />
