2631.5 CIPPS BASIS OF PAYMENT <br />The proposal form shall cover all work shown on the contract drawings, specifications, and <br />Special Provisions. All costs associated with the work including furnishing of all materials, <br />providing all construction and equipment, and performing all necessary labor, coordination, <br />supervision, and management to fully complete the work, shall be included in the unit or lump <br />sum prices quoted in the proposal form. This work shall include restoration of all surfaces to <br />their original condition or better. Reconnection of all existing services shall be considered <br />incidental to the CIPPS. All work not specifically set forth as a pay item in the proposal form <br />shall be considered a subsidiary obligation of the Contractor and all costs in connection <br />therewith shall be included in the amounts and prices submitted in the proposal form. <br />The following methods of measurement for payment will be used to derive the quantities <br />installed: <br />1. Site Protection and Restoration <br />a) No separate payment will be made for protection and restoration of roadway <br />surfaces, curb and gutter, landscaping, and other site features unless otherwise <br />specified. <br />2. Spot Repair to existing pipe <br />a) Bid items have been provided in the proposal for removal and replacement of <br />pipe as Spot or Point Repairs. No additional compensation will be granted for <br />repairs. <br />3. Cured -in -Place Pipe System (CIPPS) <br />a) Payment shall be made at the unit price as listed on the proposal. All work <br />related to the cleaning, installation and acceptance of the system as a whole <br />shall be considered incidental to CIPPS installation. <br />b) Payment for re -instatement of services shall be at the unit price listed on the <br />proposal per each service, and shall be compensation in full for all materials, <br />labor, equipment, and maintenance necessary to complete the work as required <br />by the plans or required by the Engineer. <br />c) Payment for Short -Liner installations shall be made at the unit price listed on the <br />proposal and shall be compensation in full for all materials, labor, equipment, and <br />maintenance necessary to complete the work as required by the plans or <br />required by the Engineer. <br />Page 68 <br />
