SECTION 01110 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br />PART 1-- GENERAL <br />1.1 PROJECT LOCATION <br />A. The project is located in Ramsey, MN. The project location is shown on the vicinity map in the design <br />drawing set. <br />1.2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />A. The project involves but is not limited to the complete construction of public improvements for the <br />reconstruction of several streets. Individual elements of work shall include, but are not limited to: <br />1. Removal of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveways, pipe and other <br />miscellaneous items. <br />2. Clearing and grubbing. <br />3. Street excavation. <br />4. Watermain construction. <br />5. Storm sewer construction. <br />6. Concrete walk construction. <br />7. Concrete curbing and driveway pavement construction. <br />8. Bituminous street construction <br />9. Turf restoration and erosion control construction <br />10. Traffic Control. <br />11. Other miscellaneous work shown on the plans or specified herein. <br />1.3 CONTRACTOR USE OF PROJECT SITE <br />A. The Contractor's use of the project site shall be limited to its construction operations, including on -site <br />storage of materials and field offices. No materials shall be stored in a location as to limit access to the <br />affected public. Any damage caused by Contractor operations to private property, including but not <br />limited to, parking lots, trees, shrubs, material spatter, etc. shall promptly be corrected at the Contractor's <br />expense. <br />PART 2 -- PRODUCTS (NOT USED) <br />PART 3 -- EXECUTION <br />3.1 OPERATIONAL LIMITATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS <br />A. The Contractor shall confine its work within the limits of the easements, public rights -of -way, and/or <br />construction limits as shown on the plans. If the Contractor desires additional space, it shall be the <br />Contractor's responsibility to acquire easements and/or permission, as desired. <br />3.2 BARRICADES <br />A. The Contractor shall furnish and install any necessary barricades to protect the public or workers during the <br />project.
