Contractor after they are no longer required for protection. The Contractor is responsible to secure the site <br />at all times during the demolition. <br />B. The Contractor shall furnish names, addresses, and phone numbers of at least two (2) local individuals <br />capable of immediate response who will be responsible for the site security and traffic control devices to: <br />The Engineer <br />The Owner <br />Local Law Enforcement Agencies <br />C. The Contractor shall respond with sufficient personnel, equipment and/or materials and conduct <br />the required work or be subject to a $ 100 per hour deduction from the time of notification for non - <br />attention to project security and safety. <br />3.3 SAFETY HAZARDS <br />A. The Owner, Engineer or their representatives may indicate potential safety hazards noticed at the <br />Construction site. However, the Contractor shall remain the only party liable for the maintenance of safe <br />construction practices. <br />3.4 INTERFERENCE WITH TREES <br />A. The Contractor may be required to trim tree branches that overhang the work zone as specifically identified <br />during construction by the Engineer, where branches are likely to be broken or excessively damaged by <br />construction equipment and activities. Branches which are accidentally damaged during construction shall <br />be trimmed immediately. All trimmed ends shall be coated with an appropriate coating material. <br />B. The Contractor shall protect existing trees within close proximity of the construction from stripping and <br />root damage. Roots extending into excavations shall be cut before excavating in their vicinity. Roots cut or <br />otherwise damaged shall be coated with an appropriate protective dressing prior to backfilling. <br />C.
