Radial Truncated <br />domes will be measured along the long cord and multiplied by 2 feet to compute S.F. <br />S-45.3 BASIS OF PAYMENT <br />Payment will be made under Item 2531.618 (Truncated Domes) at the Contract bid price per <br />square foot, which shall be compensation in full for furnishing and installation of truncated domes. If additional <br />radial domes are required and not called for in the plans they will be paid for at 4 square feet per each additional <br />plate. <br />S-46 (2563) TRAFFIC CONTROL SUPERVISOR <br />The Contractor shall provide a Traffic Control Supervisor for all major traffic control <br />modifications to the Project, in accordance with Contract provisions and as directed by the Engineer. <br />S-46.1 The Contractor shall provide a Traffic Control Supervisor for all major traffic control <br />modifications listed below: <br />1. Initial startup of the Project <br />2. Whenever any bypass is placed into operation <br />3. Winter suspension traffic control adjustment operation <br />4. Spring start-up traffic control adjustment operation <br />5. Completion of the Project <br />6. Any other major changes to the Traffic Control set-up (due to Contractors staging of <br />operations) <br />The Traffic Control Supervisor shall be on site 3 days prior to all major traffic control <br />modifications listed above until the major traffic control modification is functioning properly allowing for safe, long <br />term accommodations for traveling public. <br />During the 3 day time period prior to the major traffic control modification, the Traffic Control <br />Supervisor will be expected to be on -site to develop a site plan for the major traffic control modification, to <br />determine and ensure timely delivery of the proper quantity of traffic control devices, and to develop staging plans <br />for the major traffic control modification operation. The Traffic Control Supervisor shall then coordinate and direct <br />the installation of the devices as well as the staging of the traffic control modification to ensure a safe and efficient <br />transition is completed. Following the transition, the Traffic Control Supervisor shall monitor the traffic flow of the <br />site(s) in question and make modifications necessary to provide for the safe and efficient passage of the traveling <br />public. <br />S-46.2 The Traffic Control Supervisor shall be certified as a worksite supervisor by MnDOT. A copy of <br />the traffic Control Supervisor's certification shall be provided to the Engineer at the Project pre -construction <br />conference. <br />MnDOT certification as a Traffic Control Supervisor can be obtained by attending a 3 day <br />MnDOT Traffic Control Supervisor Course within the last 5 years. Additional information on MnDOT's <br />certification can be obtained by contacting Leigh Kriewall at 651-366-4217. <br />The National ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor Certification will not be accepted. <br />(A) The Contractor shall, at the pre -construction conference, designate a Traffic Control Supervisor <br />who shall be responsible for and perform the traffic control management. The traffic Control Supervisor shall be <br />either an employee of the Contractor other than the superintendent, or an employee of a firm which has a <br />subcontract for overall traffic control management for the project. The Traffic Control Supervisor shall be <br />responsible for the management of the traffic control operations of the Project, including those of the Contractor, <br />
