CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Review Community and Business Event Participation <br />City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report, background, and list of 2014 community and <br />business events in which the Council may be interested in participating. It was noted that <br />annually, the EDA members budget for and participate in a number of community and business <br />events to encourage business retention and expansion. <br />City Administrator Ulrich explained that because the role of the Legacy Christian Academy has <br />diminished in Ramsey, it is recommended its Scramble for Students not be included in 2014. He <br />stated approximately $3,068 was spent on community and business events in 2011, <br />approximately $1,083 was spent in 2012, and approximately $885 was spent in 2013.
