CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. 2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION 2.01: Review Community and Business Event Participation City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report, background, and list of 2014 community and business events in which the Council may be interested in participating. It was noted that annually, the EDA members budget for and participate in a number of community and business events to encourage business retention and expansion. City Administrator Ulrich explained that because the role of the Legacy Christian Academy has diminished in Ramsey, it is recommended its Scramble for Students not be included in 2014. He stated approximately $3,068 was spent on community and business events in 2011, approximately $1,083 was spent in 2012, and approximately $885 was spent in 2013.
