The Community Development Department is excited to announce a 'soft launch' of the new Electronic Plan Review system. Staff has turned the system on, but is waiting to market the product to allow a slow transition. The transition to electronic plan review has had us rethink our current workflow, and already uncovered some efficiencies to the process. A few applicants have found the system on their own, and allowed us to try the system on a few smaller projects while staff is still learning the new software. The ability for concurrent plan review, calibrating scale, and easily shared redline comments on the plan (versus a separate review letter), and electronic issuance of permits with 24/7 access has shown that the long term benefits will clearly show the benefit of this system. Applicants that desire to use the system can simply navigate to www.cityoframsey.com/permits. A special kudos to Katy Hauan for managing the development, transition, and implementation of this new system. A broader marketing plan will be unrolled later this year for implementation. GB Leighton and Trott Brook Benefit Bash Close Out The Draw Summer Event Series. Music will run from 6:00-8:30 pm with Food Trucks opening at 5:00 pm. All proceeds will be donated to Youth First Community of Promise and the Ann Talle Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.
