Commissioner Brauer stated he likes the idea of providing them with flexibility to resolve the issue. as it gives Staff room to work with it, and it appears there are a couple of options possible. Don Zomack, owner of Automated EDM indicated the expansion has to be done in a timely manner, and they cannot wait until spring. Chairperson Nixt stated he is inclined to give this a favorable recommendation, but they need to address the drainage pond(and the necessary easements. Mr. Zomack stated that back in 1996 when they first constructed this building they were told by the City that the nurp pond was a temporary thing until the rest of the subdivision was put in, at which time it would be hooked up to City sewer. He stated he does not know what it would take to do that, but they will help in whatever way they can. Chairperson Nixt advised Mr. Zomack needs to work with Staff to resolve the issue prior to the City Council meeting on September 28, 2004. He 'asked if Mr. Zomack has seen the Staff Review Letter. Mr. Zomack indicated he has, and is okay with what it says. Associate Planner Wald reiterated that drainage is the only issue remaining, and the City Engineer does not think it is a problem they cannot get past, they just need additional information. Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Jeffrey to recommend that the City Council grant approval of the proposed site plan contingent upon resolution of the drainage issue and compliance with the City Staff Review Letter dated September 10, 2004. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Brauer, Jeffrey, Shepherd, Van Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: Chairperson Nixt. Absent: Commissioner Johnson. Chairperson Nixt stated he believes the language `resolving the drainage issue' is pretty vague, however he thinks he made it clear what he would expect. OTHER COMMISSION BUSINESS Chairperson Nixt noted there is a meeting here on September 23, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. addressing prospective Comprehensive Plan opportunities. Associate Planner Wald advised the format will be a presentation at 6:00 by HGKI, with a packet given of the rnaterials and then allow time for interactive exercises.
