PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING & ADOPT ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 2005 SCHEDULE OF <br />RATES, FEES AND CHARGES <br /> By: Diana Lurid, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Effective June 30, 1991, Ordinance #91-08 amended S7.01.10 of the City Code to allow the City <br />Council to annually set fees. <br /> <br />As in past practice, the City is allowed to annually adopt the Schedule of Rates, Fees and <br />Charges by Resolution, but due to previous discussions revolving around the water and sewer <br />trunk rates, and the notification of affected users, it is felt that it is in the best interest to adopt the <br />entire 2005 schedule by ordinance. Ordinance adoption provides the opportunity for comments <br />at a Public Hearing and gives adequate time (30 days) before the rates go into effect. <br /> <br />Thc attached ordinance was introduced at the October 26, 2004, City Council meeting with a <br />Public Hearing to be held on November 23, 2004. <br /> <br />The attached Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges reflect the rates & fees to be charged by the <br />City tbr se~wices beginning January 1,2005.
