OW t hi lorti: To work together ke respotibiy grow oar community, and to provide quality, cost -affective, and efckent government tet does. <br />CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 10/10/2017 <br />Submitted For: Kurt Ulrich, Administrative Services <br />By: Jo Thieling, Administrative Services <br />Information <br />7. 11. <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution # 17-10-261 in Support for City of Anoka Funding Applications for Trunk Highway 10 <br />Improvements at Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: To formally show support for the City of Anoka's efforts in obtaining grants to fund Trunk Highway 10 <br />Improvements at Thurston and Fairoak Avenues. <br />Background: The City of Ramsey and the City of Anoka partnered with MnDOT and Anoka County to develop a <br />Highway 10 Access Planning Study. Ramsey agrees that Thurston and Fairoak Avenues are priority TH 10 projects. <br />The City of Anoka has actively pursued and obtained funding for improvements; however, considerable funding <br />must still be secured. The City of Anoka has submitted grant applications to various federal, state and local <br />transportation programs, such as Minnesota Highway Freight Program (MNFP), Transportation Economic <br />Development (TED), Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER), Infrastructure for <br />Rebuilding America (INFRA), Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP), MnDOT Corridors of Commerce, and <br />others. Council is asked to adopt the attached Resolution which states that the City of Ramsey fully supports the <br />City of Anoka's continuing efforts to pursue grant funding for Highway 10 improvements at Thurston and Fairoak <br />Avenues. <br />Funding Source: <br />N/A <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends Council adopt the resolution of support for the City of Anoka to continue pursuing funding for <br />Fairoak and Thurston Avenues. <br />Action: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #17-10-261 in Support for City of Anoka Funding Applications for Trunk Highway 10 <br />Improvements at Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue. <br />Res Support Thurston Fairoaks <br />Attachments <br />Form Review <br />Inbox <br />Reviewed By Date <br />
