SECTION 3215 00 <br />AGGREGATE SURFACING <br />PART 1- GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. This Work shall consist of surface preparation, aggregate surfacing, and compaction for drive and turnarounds <br />in accordance with these specifications and shall conform to dimensions, cross sections, and grades shown on <br />Plans and established by Engineer. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK <br />A. Section 3122 00 — Grading. <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Comply with Section 0133 00 — Submittal Procedures. <br />1.04 UNIT PRICES MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />A. Aggregate Base Class 5 — By the CY, includes loading, placing, preparing and compacting. <br />B. Subgrade Preparation — payment by lump sum. No measurement will be made. <br />PART 2 - MATERIALS <br />2.01 AGGREGATE BASE AND SURFACING <br />A. Aggregate shall be in accordance with Mn/DOT Specification 3138, shall consist of virgin crushed limestone, <br />and shall meet modified gradation requirements for Class 5 as follows: <br />Sieve Percent Passing <br />1" 100 <br />%" 90-100 <br />No. 4 35-70 <br />No. 40 10-35 <br />No. 200 5-10 <br />The material will be supplied by the City of Ramsey from the City -owned stockpile and shall be loaded, hauled, <br />placed and compacted by the Contractor in accordance with this section. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 SUBGRADE PREPARATION <br />A. Subgrade preparation shall consist of leveling, blading, balancing and compacting materials to meet tolerances <br />of plus or minus 0.05 feet at any one point of reference where grades are provided. <br />B.
