C. Any soft or unsuitable material in subgrade shall be removed and replaced at the direction of the Engineer. <br />3.02 AGGREGATE SURFACE <br />A. Work shall consist of construction of Class 5 aggregate surface to depth shown on the plans. <br />B. Work and materials shall be in accordance with Mn/DOT Specification Section 2211 and 3138. <br />C. Aggregate base shall be compacted per the specified density method. <br />PART 4 — METHOD OF MEASUREMENT <br />4.01 The Engineer will measure the aggregate base per Mn/DOT Specification 1901, "Measurement of Quantities". The <br />Engineer will not deduct the mass or volume of water and admixtures. <br />4.02 Mass and Volume conversion tables are in the Mn/DOT Grading and Base Manual. <br />PART 5 — BASIS OF PAYMENT <br />5.01 The contract unit price for the accepted quantities of Aggregate Surfacing includes the costs of testing, placement <br />and compaction. <br />5.02 The Owner will pay for aggregate base on the basis of the following schedule: <br />Item No.: Item: Unit: <br />2211.501 <br />Aggregate Surfacing, Class cubic yard [cubic meter] <br />END OF SECTION <br />Division 32 — Exterior Improvements <br />DV32-2 <br />
