City of Ramsey <br />Project B1610732 <br />January 10, 2017 <br />Page 21 <br />George Athans, Site owner <br />According to Mr. Athans, he has owned the Site for the past seven years. He indicated that the building <br />has been vacant for approximately three years and that there is no product remaining in the <br />underground storage tanks. Mr. Athans was not aware of any releases associated with the Site during his <br />ownership. Mr. Athans confirmed the Site is connected to the municipal water and sanitary sewer <br />systems and he was not aware of any past or current water wells or septic systems on the Site. Mr. <br />Athans indicated there is a catch basin in the carwash that is connected to the municipal sewer system. <br />Mr. Athans had no knowledge of any past releases on the Site or environmental liens against the Site. <br />We made inquiry to the following local government offices and/or officials with the city of Ramsey to <br />obtain knowledge or records of historical and current land -use information regarding the Site and <br />surrounding area: <br />Casey Schiferli, Fire Marshal, City of Ramsey <br />There have been no responses to our inquiry from Mr. Schiferli. An addendum will be provided if <br />information is received after the issuance of this report that alters the findings of this report. Refer to <br />Section F for a discussion regarding Data Gaps encountered during our inquiry. <br />D. Site Reconnaissance <br />The objective of the Site reconnaissance is to obtain information indicating the likelihood of identifying <br />recognized environmental conditions in connection with the Site. <br />A Braun Intertec environmental professional, Kelly Brown, conducted a Site reconnaissance on <br />November 11, 2016. Site access was provided by Matt Elder, real estate agent for Colliers International <br />representing the Site owner; however, we were unaccompanied during the Site reconnaissance. <br />At the time of the Site reconnaissance, the weather was sunny and calm with a temperature of about 45 <br />degrees Fahrenheit. <br />D.1. Methodology <br />Observations made at the time of the Site reconnaissance were conducted by physically traversing and <br />visually observing the exterior aspects of the Site and its improvements, as well the interior areas, such <br />as common, mechanical, storage, or other interior areas that were deemed representative of such Site <br />improvements. Adjoining properties were visually observed from the Site boundaries or nearby public <br />right-of-way areas. <br />BRAUN <br />INTERTEC <br />
