Conclusions <br />Based on the results of this assessment, the following conclusions are provided: <br />• With the exception of concrete debris observed in borings S-3, S-4, S-6, and a piece of coal in <br />boring S-3, evidence of potential environmental impacts were not observed. <br />• The sampling and testing conducted as part of this Phase II ESA did not detect chemicals of <br />concern at concentrations greater than MPCA cleanup levels or Unregulated Fill Criteria'. <br />However, based on the history of the Site and the Site's status as a closed leaking petroleum <br />storage tank site, it is likely that petroleum impacted soil is present in places at the Site. <br />Based on the lack of detected soil impacts and the relatively low concentrations of DRO <br />identified in groundwater, any soil contamination is likely to be limited in magnitude and <br />extent. <br />• Groundwater is impacted by DRO at concentrations greater than its MDH HBV. Based on the <br />Site's association with several former leaking petroleum storage tank cases, and the absence <br />of detected contamination during the recent tank removal activities, the identified <br />groundwater impacts are likely due to a historical petroleum release. <br />• Soil vapor is not impacted at concentrations greater than Industrial ISVs. However, based on <br />the presence of detectable concentrations of PCE in soil vapor sample SG-2, it appears that a <br />source of the vapor may be present in the vicinity of the collected sample. Based on the <br />relatively low concentration, the release is either small and/or SG-2 is on the edge of a vapor <br />plume. The other two soil vapor samples, SG-1 and SG-3, did not exhibit detectable <br />concentrations of PCE, indicating that the Site is not significantly impacted by PCE vapors. <br />Best Management Practices for the Off -Site Reuse of Unregulated Fill, dated February 2012, prepared by <br />the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. <br />BRAUN <br />INTERTEC <br />
