CASE #1

RECEIVE PELTZER PARK AREA SURVEY RESULTS AND
PREPARE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor

Background:

The Peltzer Park surveys that were mailed on February 17, 1998, have been received and collated
in the enclosed summary. Only 4 respondents were negative towards Peltzer Park
redevelopment. Two of these were nearly identical, indicating a photocopy may have been
made, providing two adults in the household an opportunity to comment. February's case
addressing this project is also enclosed, which includes a timeline/work plan for the playground.

For the meeting, staff will have a draft park plan budget based upon the priorities indicated from
the survey.

Commission Action:

Recommend Park Plan budget and identify elements of the playground equipment RFP.

Reviewed by:

Parks/Utilities Supervisor

Copies also distributed to:

Finance Officer
Fire Chief/Director of Public Works

PR:03/12/98
