City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution #17- <br /> 10-271 accepting the Feasibility Report and ordering a public hearing for November 14, 2017, <br /> for Improvement Project #18-00, Stanhope Terrace Street Reconstructions. He noted that this <br /> will allow the project to be constructed as part of the 2018 Street Maintenance Program and to <br /> allow for the use of special assessments to pay for a portion of the project costs per the <br /> applicable provisions of the City Charter, the City's Special Assessments Policy, and Minnesota <br /> Statute, Chapter 429. <br /> Councilmember Riley asked if the City would be testing depths to ensure the correct amount of <br /> aggregate is provided. <br /> City Engineer Westby noted that the City conducts that action with all projects, noting that there <br /> is a standard required and City staff does provide testing to ensure the appropriate result is <br /> provided to ensure consistent aggregate is provided to the City standard. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Shryock, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to Adopt Resolution <br /> #17-10-271 Accepting the Feasibility Report and Ordering Public Hearing for Improvement <br /> Project#18-00 Stanhope Terrace Street Reconstructions. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Shryock, Johns, Kuzma, <br /> LeTourneau, and Riley.
