CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 8, 2002, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number II, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Economic Development Consultant Mike Mulrooney <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:03 p.m. and lead in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Julie Horn, 6031 145~' Lane NW, Ramsey, stated that she did not see anything on the agenda <br />regarding the City Attorney's opinion pertaining to a Councilmember voting on a land use for <br />their own property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that the Councilmembers had already received the opinion and <br />made the opinion available to any interested residents. <br /> <br />Ms. Horn stated that she felt that the issue should be discussed as a regular Council agenda item. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that all Councilmembers were informed of the opinion and no <br />action is needed. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen stated that he felt that the issue should be discussed as an agenda <br />item. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recommended adding discussion of the City Attorney's opinion as Case 9a. <br /> <br />City Council/January 8, 2002 <br /> Page 2 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
