He
did not see the cost being out of line for the services they offer.

Councihnember Hendriksen stated that the problem with the services of GovDocs is that the City
spends a lot of money and time for set-up and then if they determine it is to expensive for what
they get, they walk away with nothing. He stated that there are many alternatives to GovDocs at
a fraction of the cost.

Mr. Johnson replied that it was true that the City could get space cheaper in a number of places,
but, at the end of the day, it is not just space but the hosting they are offering is document
management. The idea behind GovDocs is automating the web page management.

Councilmember Zimmerman recommended having Councilmember Hendriksen and staff bring
proposals forward for consideration.

Counciimember Hendriksen stated that the Council needs to decide what they want to see with a
website.

Councilmember Zimmerman recommended starting with basic services and then add onto it in
the future.

Consensus of the Council was to direct staff to schedule a presentation from GovDocs at a future
work session.

3) Boards & Commission Appointments

Consensus of the Council was to schedule interviews for February 4, 2002.

4) Ramsey Resident

Councihnember Hendriksen noted that the Ramsey Resident had the wrong dates for the Council
meeting.

Consensus of the Council was to print a correction in the Anoka Union as well as on Cable TV
and City Hall.

City Council/January 15, 2002
