Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />and Zinmaerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Chapter 9 Subcommittee <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that the Chapter 9 subcommittee would be meeting on January <br />31, 2002, and requested clarification if the Committee was to be made up of the entire Council. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was that the Chapter 9 subcommittee should comprise of the entire <br />City Council. <br /> <br />2) LMC Informational Forum <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that there would be a LMC Information Meeting on January <br />24, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br />3) North Star Corridor <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that there would be a North Star Commuter rail demonstration <br />on January 28, 2002. <br /> <br />4) Council Work Session <br /> <br />A Council work session was scheduled for February 5, at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />5) Bury & Carlson Request <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that the City had received a letter from Bury & Carlson <br />requesting that the City sell them five acres adjacent to their business and felt that the City <br />needed to respond to that request. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that staff was working on that issue. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that staff was recommending against the sale because the City <br />needs to sell the land to pay off bonds and they want to use the site for open storage. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen noted that the sale to Bury & Carlson would not pay tax revenue. <br /> <br />City Council/January 22, 2002 <br /> Page 24 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
