CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Topic: <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Update Regarding Wetland Buffer Ordinance <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik, Community Development Director <br /> <br />On September 28, 2004, the City Council authorized City Staff to enter into a contract with <br />Hoisington Koegler Group for the purpose of assisting the Environmental Policy Task Force in <br />drafting a wetland buffer ordinance for the City of Ramsey. Hoisington is sub-contracting with <br />Pctcrson Environmental for the more technical aspects of the project. <br /> <br />On November 8, the Environmental Policy Task Force met with Loren Gordon of Hoisington and <br />Jim Amdt of Peterson Environmental. The Task Force and the consultants had a good discussion <br />about the desired framework, purpose and intent of the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />The proposed schedule is that the consultants will present a draf~ ordinance to the Task Force at <br />their regular meeting scheduled for January 24, 2005. Following that, City Staffwill schedule joint <br />meetings with the Planning Commission and City Council to review, comment and make changes <br />tm necessary to the ch'aft ordinance prior to scheduling the formal public heating and adoption~ <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />Nonc <br /> <br />Action Statement: <br /> <br />None required; for information only. <br /> <br />CCWS: 12.06.04 <br /> <br /> <br />
