Councilmember Hendriksen replied that he had thought that the EAW would also assess the <br />impact on other developments, which the biological survey did not include. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon explained that the EAW covers a whole assortment of environmental <br />issues. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt the <br />resolution adopting the findings of fact determining that an Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet does have to be conducted in regard to the development known as The Ponds. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: Mayor <br />Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, and Kurak. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adopt Resolution <br />#02-02~040 adopting Findings of Fact # 0601 determining that an Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet does not have to be conducted in regard to the development known as The Ponds. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting <br />No: Councilmembers Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recessed the regular meeting of the City Council at 9:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council back to order at 9:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the residents along the peninsula invited the <br />Councihnembers to view the proposed lots along the peninsula, which he did and he agreed with <br />the residents that the lots are not buildable. He felt that the Council needed to look at that <br />portion of the development very carefully. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if there has ever been a situation in the history of the City where <br />homes were built in an area that they should not have been built. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that there have been some homes that have had some grade <br />problems, but that would not be the issue with the homes along the peninsula. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if there was ever an issue where the lots were too small. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that there have been some issues where homes were built <br />where there was no backyard, but there have not been any problems with the house being a <br />problem because of the proximity to the wetland. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if any of the problems impacted the quality of the home. <br /> <br />City Council/February 12, 2002 <br /> Page 19 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
